Situation: Residence Inn, a renowned hospitality brand, conducted daily meetings known as "Daily Huddles" to ensure smooth operations and team alignment. These meetings had prescribed activities and content. However, the process could have been more convenient, to print out worksheets from a SharePoint site manually SharePoint site. time-consuming and consuming but also led to excessive paper waste and occasional mismanagement of resources.

Task: The goal was to develop a tablet application named "Daily Huddles" to digitize the process, making it more efficient, eco-friendly, and user-friendly. The application aimed to provide easy access to the prescribed activities and content, eliminating the need for physical printouts and ensuring that managers could facilitate meetings seamlessly.

Action:

  1. Needs Assessment: Conducted interviews with managers and team members to understand the challenges faced with the printout method and gather requirements for the tablet application.

  2. Application Development: Designed and launched the "Daily Huddles" tablet application, ensuring it was intuitive and user-friendly. Integrated the app with the SharePoint site to fetch the required content and activities.

  3. Training: Organized workshops for managers to familiarize them with the application, ensuring a smooth transition from the traditional method.

  4. Feedback Loop: Implemented a feedback mechanism within the app for users to report any issues or suggest improvements.
